Goodness my posts are sporadic. After reading the article on BBC news online about Ivan Noble's battle with a tumor I realised that it's because I don't have the stress of the house move any more. His reports are also dropping off, but that may be because he now wishes to spend more time with his young family rather than sitting at a PC, rather than the stress induced by his experience.

I've been reading his diaries since he was diagnosed. Being a natural hypochondriac, I of course went away to research his condition and convinced myself that some of the aches/pains I occasionally experience showed some similarity with the known symptoms.

And in other news....

Jo's sister, Laura, came to stay for a week. She chose the wrong week, with temperatures averaging 35 degrees celcius. Her plans of touring landmarks and places of historical interest fell by the way side and gave way to sunbathing for the most part. Jo and I took a couple of days off and took Laura to Hampton Court and Highclere Castle (still with 35 degree heat).

By brother, Nathan, and his girlfriend Jo came to stay the Friday night. The 5 of us went into town and had a lovely meal, followed by a few drinks in town, a rollercoaster of a taxi ride home, and drunken trivial pursuit. The two Jo's and I went to bed around 1am, but somehow Nathan and Laura lasted until 6am! That's some stamina. The only time I've managed that was when I worked the millenium eve shift at the Eastney Tavern. Even in the dead of Winter it was daylight by the time I went to bed. I'm surprised Nathan and Laura didn't notice! ;o)

Nothing on the cards this weekend. Next weekend brings my Aunt Chrissie's 'surprise' 50th birthday party. (It was a surprise until my Mum left the invitation out one day whilst Chrissie was visiting. D'oh!).

And with that the clock strikes 5pm, and so I must away.
